The Update: April 2022

April 2022
Celebrating Our Volunteers

Last week was National Volunteer Appreciation Week! Here at SOAR365, it’s a special week for us to celebrate our volunteers and say thank you. They have worked so hard throughout the entire year to contribute to our mission. We couldn’t achieve all that we do without their support.
Watch this video to learn more about the impact volunteers have on SOAR365 and to see how much we appreciate our volunteers.

SummerFest
Back by popular demand! SummerFest was such a hit last year, we are hosting it again this year. Join us on Thursday, June 9 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. in PARK365 to visit with more than twenty local community organizations providing services to individuals with disabilities. There will be music, cotton candy, a food truck and more. It’s free, it’s fun, and you don’t want to miss it!

SOAR365 Is a Top Place to Work
SOAR365 is proud to announce that we have been selected as a Top Workplace in Richmond by the Richmond Times-Dispatch. This award was made based on the results of the survey that employees took in January. Our results were compared to other similar organizations, and SOAR365 rose to the top! Only 87 companies in the Greater Richmond area made this year’s list.

Join the Workshop:
May 7, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Hosted by the Next Generation Council, this leadership workshop features accomplished leaders who will walk you through topics to enhance your nonprofit leadership perspective and uncover hidden gems in people and programs. Tell your friends and sign up together!
Top 40 Under 40
Congratulations to SOAR365’s VP of Day and Respite Services, Emily Lehmann, for being named one of Style Weekly’s Top 40 Under 40 in Richmond for 2022. We couldn’t be more proud of and excited for Emily. We’ve always known she’s amazing, and we’re so glad it’s official now.
