SOAR365 is a Richmond-based, not-for-profit organization that was founded in 1954 by local families determined to find a better way to care for and support their loved ones with disabilities. Our wide range of programs and services are designed for individuals and families coping with the daily, real-world challenges of living with a disability. We have a profound impact on over 1,700 individuals and families who receive our help in a typical year.

Cara Coffman, M.A., CFCS
Director of Pediatric Therapy
Cara Coffman holds a master’s in developmental psychology. She has more than 30 years of experience in assessment, early identification, and intervention for children ages birth to three years with developmental delays. Before working in early intervention, she coordinated and administered clinical research in the Child Development Program at Children’s National Medical Center.
Chris Martin
Director of Employment Services
Chris Martin holds a master’s degree in education, is a licensed special education teacher, and has more than 30 years of experience in supported employment. Chris was appointed by Governor Youngkin to the Virginia State Rehabilitation Council in 2024.
Matt hulcher
Summer Camp and Respite Services Director
Matt Hulcher holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has more than 26 years of experience working with both children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Matt has a passion for cultivating inclusive environments where participants can experience both meaningful connections and the magic of the outdoors.
