Your gift ensures that SOAR365 will be supporting people with disabilities well into the future.

One way is through a simple bequest, a gift made through a will. Here is sample language to make a bequest to SOAR365:

I bequeath to SOAR365, tax identification number 54-0629691, all of the rest, residue and remainder (or state the specific sum of $ or % of residue) of my estate. SOAR365 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation organized and existing under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and may be contacted at its principal business address of 3600 Saunders Avenue, Richmond, VA 23227, (804) 358-1874.

You can also name SOAR365 as the beneficiary of your:
• Retirement Account or IRA
• Life Insurance Policy
• Trust

Yes! Securities and mutual funds that have increased in value and have been held for more than one year are popular assets to gift to a charity. When you donate appreciated securities or mutual funds in support of our mission, you can reduce or even eliminate federal capital gains taxes on the transfer. You may also be entitled to a federal income tax charitable deduction based on the fair market value of the securities at the time of the transfer.

Yes! By establishing a Transfer on Death (TOD) or Payable on Death (POD) provision, you can transfer assets to SOAR365.

A TOD is generally only used for investable assets, such as securities, bonds and mutual funds. A POD is very similar to a TOD, but it is used for savings accounts, money market accounts and CDs. Through a TOD or POD arrangement, you can bypass the delays and costs associated with probate and qualify for an estate tax charitable deduction. You will need to notify the manager of your financial institution and complete the necessary designation forms.

You can make a gift of real estate — such as a personal residence, vacation home, commercial property or undeveloped land — either outright or in your estate plans. When you give appreciated property that you have held longer than one year, you qualify for a federal income tax charitable deduction, and you may minimize or eliminate capital gains tax.
