At SOAR365’s Friendsgiving celebration for Adult Day Support, the room was filled with laughter, dancing, and the sound of live music from volunteer musician Clay Mottley. Music has been part of Clay’s life for as long as he can remember. “I’ve always been a musician since I was young, learning piano and guitar,” he says.

We love when learning can be fun…and delicious! SOAR365 Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) and Supported Employment participants recently enjoyed a special pizza-making class, thanks to our friends at Performance Foodservice (PFS). But this visit was more than a tasty lunch. It was a hands-on experience designed to build real-world skills and confidence for future jobs.

On a sunny September day, SOAR365’s Camp Baker in Chesterfield was buzzing with energy. Employees from Altria rolled up their sleeves for our largest volunteer event ever.
Volunteers painted and reorganized the Lodge and Price House, refreshed campgrounds with mulch and gravel, stained picnic tables, and even assembled brand-new furniture. They also put together LEGO sets for Pediatric Therapy and Adult Day Support and created special holiday therapy kits for children.

Each year, this prestigious honor recognizes 10 outstanding graduates who have earned their first VCU degree within the past decade and have already made remarkable contributions to their professions...

When Sloan was pregnant, routine testing showed that her daughter, Anna, had a chromosomal disorder. She was understandably worried. “It can be really scary to have such a severe diagnosis for your child.”
That uncertainty turned to hope when Sloan connected with SOAR365’s Pediatric Therapy program and realized just how helpful SOAR365’s therapists were with little Anna.
