When Sloan was pregnant, routine testing showed that her daughter, Anna, had a chromosomal disorder. She was understandably worried. “It can be really scary to have such a severe diagnosis for your child.”
That uncertainty turned to hope when Sloan connected with SOAR365’s Pediatric Therapy program and realized just how helpful SOAR365’s therapists were with little Anna.

This summer, we welcomed Alex Jensen as a Data Analytics Intern in our Business Solutions department at SOAR365. His internship has allowed him to apply what he’s learning in school to real-world projects, while supporting a team that creates meaningful jobs for people with disabilities and delivers valuable services to the community.

Every day, more children like CaiaJade are being diagnosed with developmental disabilities in Virginia. That number is expected to grow from 20,202 in 2018 to over 40,000 by 2030, based on historical annual growth rates. The sooner children receive services, the better the outcomes.
For both the RMC nursing students and the SOAR365 participants, possibly the most powerful result of the clinical experience was forming genuine connections with each other.
