The creative force behind SOAR365’s new volunteer appreciation video, Dustin Artz, learned about our organization after he responded to a post on the Community Foundation Engagement Center website. The Community Foundation connects volunteers with meaningful service and leadership opportunities to create positive change in our community.
“Before, I only knew SOAR365 as the building next to PARK365. I had no idea how many facets to SOAR365 there were, or how much good it is doing for the community,” says Dustin, who has worked as our volunteer videographer for several months. He is the co-owner of Familiar Creatures, a Richmond advertising agency.
Dustin says he has been fortunate to work on video production for SOAR365 – and, as an advertising professional, he hopes to help “spread the word” any way he can. He also appreciates the collaborative spirit he has experienced here. “Everyone who works at SOAR365 is not only super-competent and smart, but also kind,” he said. “The organization seems to attract some stellar people. It’s been lovely working with them.”
Liz Harris, Volunteer Engagement Manager, says that working with Dustin has been a great experience. “He has brought creativity and new ideas to our team, and it shows in the videos he’s created,” she said. “We’re thankful for the time and experience he’s given to SOAR365!”
