Stories from PARK365: Volunteering Roots Take Hold

Richmond Family Magazine and SOAR365 continue their collaborative series, “Stories from PARK365,” celebrating the joy, connection, and inclusivity found at one of Richmond’s most beloved community spaces. PARK365, designed for individuals of all ages and abilities, offers a vibrant, accessible environment where families come together to play, grow, and create lasting memories.

This ongoing series invites community members to share their personal experiences at PARK365, highlighting the park’s impact on fostering friendships, volunteerism, and meaningful community connections. Selected stories are featured on Richmond Family Magazine’s website, inspiring others and reinforcing the importance of inclusive spaces for all.

In this latest edition, readers meet Jacklyn Cheely, whose first visit to PARK365 in 2024 was meant to be a one-day volunteer project, but quickly became something much more. What started as a beautification effort with colleagues sparked a lasting passion, leading Jacklyn to return time and again as a gardening assistant supporting SOAR365 Adult Day Support participants.
