SOAR365 is proud to celebrate Olivia Wood, Chair of the SOAR365 Next Generation Council, for being named a 2025 recipient of VCU Alumni’s 10 Under 10 award!

Each year, this prestigious honor recognizes 10 outstanding graduates who have earned their first VCU degree within the past decade and have already made remarkable contributions to their professions and communities.

A proud graduate of VCU’s Risk Management and Insurance Program, Olivia has built a dynamic career in the insurance industry, anchored by strong academics, leadership, and a passion for helping others grow. She currently serves as the underwriting director of operations at Continental Underwriters, specializing in insurance solutions for the wood products industry. Since joining the company in 2016 as a risk assessment technician intern, she has advanced through a variety of roles that reflect her expertise in underwriting, operations management, and strategic leadership.

Beyond her professional achievements, Olivia is committed to giving back. As secretary of the Richmond Chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Society, she helps build a strong community of insurance professionals. She also serves as an adjunct professor at VCU, teaching property and casualty insurance and mentoring future leaders in the field.

At SOAR365, Olivia leads the Next Generation Council, an engaged group of young professionals dedicated to supporting SOAR365’s mission to create life-fulfilling opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Under her leadership, the Council continues to grow and implement events that foster accessibility, awareness, and opportunity across the Richmond region.
