October is here, and it’s time to celebrate National Physical Therapy Month! This special month focuses on how important physical therapists are in helping people improve their lives.
Physical therapy isn’t just about healing injuries; it’s about giving people the power to move better. Physical therapists (PTs) look at a person’s physical problems, figure out what’s wrong, and provide treatment. They help people recover from injuries, manage long-term health issues, and improve their physical abilities. Whether it’s helping an athlete get back to sports or assisting someone with disabilities to move around more easily, physical therapy makes a big difference.
At SOAR365, our physical and occupational therapists help people with disabilities learn skills for everyday life and become more independent. They work hard to help people overcome challenges and reach their goals. They also make sure that everyone can access quality physical therapy, helping to break down barriers and promote inclusion.
On top of National Physical Therapy Month, October 27 is World Occupational Therapist Day, another important role within our organization.
To recognize the wonderful work they do, we asked three SOAR365 therapists what their favorite part of their job is:
Sam Cipolla, Physical Therapist
“My favorite part of being a PT is seeing when my kids learn something new and getting to see their progress. I also love when the parents get to see their child do something new that they might have thought their child wasn’t going to be able to do.”
Emily Rosenberger, Physical Therapist
“My favorite part of being a PT is being able to empower families to optimize health and development in their little ones through play in the natural environment.”
Megan Pesci, Occupational Therapist
“My favorite part of being an OT is getting to know the families and helping their little ones meet their milestones.”
National Physical Therapy Month is a reminder of the essential role physical therapists play in our communities. Let’s take this opportunity to recognize their contributions and promote awareness about the benefits of physical therapy. Together, we can advocate for greater accessibility and support for those who rely on these vital services. Here’s to movement, healing, and a healthier future!
