Thalhimer, the commercial real estate company, selected SOAR365 as its partner for the third quarter of 2023 through its Thalhimer Gives program, a company-wide initiative focused on community involvement and charitable giving.   The first activity in this collaboration brought Thalhimer volunteers to Camp Baker for the weekly talent show.  

“Thalhimer associates looked forward to volunteering at the Camp Baker talent show, and the experience did not disappoint!” said Paula English, Thalhimer’s Communications Director and Thalhimer Gives Coordinator.  “We were inspired to join this welcoming community.  The participants were full of talent and zeal, and we were thrilled to share in the various joys of their lives.”   The volunteers helped to set up the event, made colorful posters, and cheered on campers as they strutted down the red carpet, took the stage, and entertained with singing, dancing, jokes, and more!

“We felt such a connection that we were dancing right along with the crowd,” recalls Paula, who nominated SOAR365 for Thalhimer Gives.  “Seeing the joy on everyone’s faces and genuine happiness in being part of such a fun event was evident.  We were all moved.  And our tour of Camp Baker was nothing short of amazing. The grounds are the perfect setting for helping those with disabilities.”

Later in August, Thalhimer volunteers visited PARK365 for a day of outdoor beautification. The group weeded, trimmed bushes, and stained the outdoor stage.  They’ll continue their three months of SOAR365 service with additional outdoor projects, creating kits for Adult Day Support participants, and collecting books for pediatric therapy.   The team also looks forward to returning to Camp Baker in September to work on outdoor projects.

“We look forward to helping with multiple volunteer activities throughout this quarter-long partnership, providing donation items needed for various initiatives, and ultimately providing a check for donations that we will collect throughout the quarter,” added Paula.  “We are passionate about – and very proud of – Thalhimer Gives, and we are humbled to partner with SOAR365.”
