Before joining SOAR365, Ashley Christian cultivated a diverse background that will help her serve our organization as the incoming Volunteer Engagement Coordinator. She began her career in the corporate world, gaining valuable operations experience at a banking institution. Ashley later joined a small B2B company, where she gained a unique perspective on entrepreneurship and the agility required to navigate a rapidly evolving business landscape.
She then ventured into the education profession and worked as an exceptional education paraprofessional with Henrico County Schools. There, âI honed my skills in education and mentorship and developed a deep understanding of the importance of community engagement and support,â says Ashley. She recently graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in African American Studies and a complementary minor in Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies.
âI have a profound commitment to community and inclusivity,â Ashley explains. âI am ecstatic to bring my experience and perspectives to SOAR365. I am committed to advancing meaningful volunteer engagement and positively impacting the lives of those we serve.â
She is enthusiastic about the many ways volunteers can connect with SOAR365 through our wide range of programs. âVolunteers can get involved at SOAR365 by interning with us, working in our programs or joining us for a group event outside,â she says. âWhen individuals begin volunteering, they actively engage and contribute their best efforts. Whether assisting individuals with disabilities, helping with events or supporting administrative tasks, volunteer dedication and commitment make a significant impact!â
