“We all need people like Nick and Mac, who have the vision to see an end result and the grit to get it done,” says Randy. At SOAR365, meaningful employment isn’t just changing lives – it’s creating a cleaner community, a stronger workforce, and a future where everyone gets a chance to succeed.

SOAR365 is proud to announce that Leroy Stanford, Supervisor of the Visitor Center at Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR), has been named one of three national finalists for the Tom Miller Advocacy Award as part of the 2025 SourceAmerica Achievement Awards.

Each year, National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is a chance to recognize the talents and contributions of people with disabilities in the workplace. It’s also a time to learn how inclusive employment benefits everyone — employees, employers, and entire communities. At SOAR365, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on hardworking, creative, motivated workers who are making a difference every day.

By combining environmentalism and disability employment, SOAR365 is helping change materials and mindsets, showing that everyone has the power to make a lasting impact.

Jacob Hoffman knew his career wasn’t going where he had hoped and, in 2015, he decided to make a change. It didn’t take long before he found work at SOAR365, and it changed his life forever.

The redesigned DSCR Visitor Center stands as a testament to the installation’s commitment to continuous improvement and the community. By prioritizing both customer experience and enhanced security measures, the project has successfully created a welcoming, efficient, and secure space for visitors and personnel alike.

SOAR365 is a member of SourceAmerica’s AbilityOne Program, a federal initiative that helps people with disabilities find jobs. This program doesn’t just create employment opportunities—it also benefits the U.S. military.

Randi Dixon, a member of the Janitorial & Custodial team, has maintained employment with SOAR365 for more than 11 years now. “I was still in school when I first heard about SOAR365,” says Randi. “It was a big experience for me to start working; I was finally being paid, I was respected by everyone, and I love the people I work with.”
