New Team Helps Employees with Disabilities Succeed at Work and in Life

Employees With Disabilities Are Getting New Support at Work and in Their Personal Lives

At SOAR365, we know that personal challenges can affect how well people perform at work. This is especially true for employees with disabilities, who must overcome hurdles in their everyday lives that others may not.

Chase Prince has worked with SOAR365 as a Production Worker at AmerisourceBergen for several years. As someone who struggles with processing delays, his time at work is often marked with challenges related to decision-making, multitasking, time management, and more.

To address challenges like these, Business Solutions created a new team to support employees with disabilities, led by FaithAnn Zamparelli, Manager of Internal Employee Supports. The team’s goal is to help employees with disabilities find success in the workplace while also providing support with their life goals.

SOAR365 supervisors have always built strong relationships with their team members, but as more employees started sharing personal struggles, it became clear that more support was needed. FaithAnn explains, “We realized some employees just weren’t getting the help they needed in their personal lives to where it was affecting their employment.”

To help Chase be his best, he is given visual aids, positive modeling and receives extra time to complete tasks. With tools like these improving his performance, his confidence and attitude towards work have improved over time as well.

Chase has been entrusted with a number of new responsibilities, which include tasks like ensuring his colleagues sign in and out on time. “I want to climb the ladder,” he says. FaithAnn notes that Chase has shown remarkable growth, shifting from focusing on himself to supporting his coworkers. “Chase has really taken on more leadership,” she explains.

Outside of the workplace, the team helps employees connect to local resources that address their individual needs, such as food banks, shelters and other assistance.

FaithAnn hopes that these crucial resources will ease the stress and worries of employees and their families away from SOAR365, in turn helping everyone be the very best version of themselves.

To help realize its vision, the team has brought on a new case manager, Jeffrey Fricker.  Together, they are creating personalized accommodations and supports for each employee. Chase’s experience is just one example of the many positive effects of this approach – and how it prepares employees with disabilities to reach their goals. “Working here has helped me with financial independence and growing my skills,” says Chase.

SOAR365’s approach is setting a new standard for how organizations can provide accommodations and support employees with disabilities. By focusing on both personal and professional development, they are helping employees like Chase thrive in all aspects of their lives, creating a work environment that fosters growth and success.
