PARK365 Quarterly | Fall News

PARK365 Fall News
Hi there!
Welcome to PARK365 Quarterly, a seasonal, short e-newsletter to keep you up-to-date on happenings in one of our favorite places in Richmond PARK365.

Speaking of Books …
Did you know that PARK365 has a Free Little Library? Check it out the next time you’re at PARK365 — whether you want to read in the park or take some home, we’re thrilled that the PARK365 community is sharing books. And, if you’re organizing your bookshelves this fall, please bring any extra books with you the next time you visit, to help our library grow
Reading, Playing and Learning This Fall
Across SOAR365, we’ve been talking a lot about disability in the workplace lately (October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month). While the children who play in PARK365 may not yet be in the workplace, they are in the perfect place to learn more about disability and inclusion.
Check out these book lists to get started:
Plus, one list for adults, too:

NEW Hours:
PARK365 now opens at 11 a.m. every Monday so that our groundskeeping and maintenance crews can safely mow the grass, clean the park and make needed repairs.
Hours:
Monday: 11 a.m. to dusk
Tuesday–Sunday: dawn to dusk

LET’S PARTY!
Planning a fall birthday party or gathering? We are accepting reservations for the pavilions and patio tables.

Watch This!
Earlier this month, Greg McQuade’s “Heroes Among Us” segment on WTVR Channel 6 was about DeAngelo Thomas and his job coach, Leonardo Castro! Leo is part of SOAR365’s Supported Employment department and helped DeAngelo secure a training opportunity at Tech for Troops, a local non-profit organization that assembles, refurbishes and recycles computers for veterans. This story is full of heroes – DeAngelo, his father (Jon), Leo and Tech for Troops Executive Director Mark Casper.

We love seeing everyone in the park and playing!
If you love PARK365 and want to share your happy moments with us, email photos to [email protected] so we can feature them in our e-newsletter.
