As the new chair of the Next Generation Council, I’d like to introduce myself: Hi, I’m Kellie Mattingly. The new year is upon us, and we’re ready for it!

I’d like to thank former NGC Chair Laura Faison, for her amazing leadership over her two-year term. She brought fantastic energy to our group and has set us up to provide strong SOAR365 support through leadership development, SOAR365 service projects, and engagement and fundraising.

In addition to our leadership change, we have other exciting changes in store for NGC members in 2024. The first is that we will be moving our popular Leadership Workshop to the fall, as we celebrate its fifth year! We will continue supporting SOAR365 through service projects, including a spring beautification project, Summer Series and the Adult Day Support Fall Fest. Our biggest, and potentially most impactful, change comes with a stronger emphasis on new member recruitment and fundraising.

I’ve been a member of the NGC since 2021 and have really enjoyed the experience. I am looking forward to taking on the role of chair and leading the group in years ahead.
