RVA TECHNOLOGY GALA HONORS SOAR365 FOR USE OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES
SOAR365 has received The Innovation Community Impact Award at the annual RVA Technology Gala, held at Maymont on Thursday, October 14, 2021.

Each year, the Richmond Technology Council (RVATECH) hosts the RVA Technology Gala, which spotlights leading organizations and IT teams across Richmond and recognizes the people who power innovation and the use of new technologies within their organizations.

The Innovation Community Impact Award is given to an individual, non-profit, or business (civic-minded team or project) in central Virginia that displays the most innovative use(s) of technology to further enrich and advance our community.

The RVA Technology Gala on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Maymont.

SOAR365 received this award for our usage of Microsoft Teams and Netsmart, among other new technologies, to continue our organization’s operations through the COVID-19 pandemic. The award specifically highlights the Pediatric Therapy department for its telehealth work and the Adult Day Support department for its program improvements.

Congratulations to Bill Slate, Assistant Vice President of IT Services, and his team – Matt Barns, Kim Murphy and Michael Moore – for their incredible work and this impressive accomplishment.

SOAR365 was honored to be among many other organizations at the gala, including some of Richmond’s largest companies that support our work through philanthropic support and corporate volunteer efforts, such as CarMax and Altria; consulting firms with which we partner, like Synergy Technical and SyCom; and government agencies like the Virginia Department of Health.
