As the Chief Behavioral Officer for Feedback, a Richmond-based consumer research firm, Dean Browell is fascinated with how people make decisions. He clearly recalls why he decided to become a volunteer with SOAR365 and the Next Generation Council (NGC). “I was originally inspired to get involved with SOAR365 watching the journey of a family close to me and learning about the organization,” he said. “As I discovered more about SOAR365 and it’s truly incredible staff and services, I fell in love with how everyone supports the mission.”
Dean has been instrumental in helping the NGC focus on priorities for supporting SOAR365. “When I arrived, the NGC was an established idea, and I found it very rewarding to work with young leaders to help them become an incredible force for awareness and service. I’m especially proud of providing young adults ways to expand their leadership skills and serve our community – we all benefit!” he said.
As chair of the Ladybug Silent Auction for the second year, Dean looks forward to expanding the ways that SOAR365’s fans and friends can support the auction, even if they are unable to attend the event. “If anyone has access or connections to great experiences we could offer in the auction – for example, travel opportunities, guest homes or apartments, or tickets to performances – please reach out to Anne Paparella! Dean and his wife Caroline are the proud parents of three – Addison, a student at Randolph-Macon College and SOAR365 volunteer, Everett, and Amelia. The family lives in Chesterfield County. In addition to chasing his kids around, Dean is a big fan of board games and his other nonprofit love, The Poe Museum, where he currently serves as President of the Board.
